The short version: we collect as close to nothing as a website can.

What stays on your device

Your suburb/state and your “My Home” tally are stored in your browser's local storage so the site remembers you between visits. They are never transmitted to us. Clear your browser data and they're gone.

What we don't do

There are no accounts here and no email collection, and we don't sell data because we never hold any. We don't know who you are and we like it that way.

Advertising and analytics

EcoGuide shows ads via Google AdSense, which keeps the site free. Google and its partners may use cookies to personalise ads based on your browsing; you can control this at Google Ads Settings, and read how Google uses data at policies.google.com. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, pages requested) for security.
